Now on the State Adoption List

We are extremely proud to announce that this fall the Arkansas Board of Education voted to include the products of the Arkansas Studies Curriculum on the official State Adoption List for textbooks and classroom materials.  This recognition marks the end of seven years of developmental work designed to provide Arkansas schools with a comprehensive, tightly-integrated curriculum in Arkansas History.  Arkansas now has an officially approved set of instructional materials that were designed to fulfill the legal requirements of Acts of Arkansas 787 that every public school in Arkansas teach a unit of Arkansas history as a social studies subject at each elementary grade level in every elementary public school, with greater emphasis at the 4th and 5th grade levels.  It’s a curriculum that the Arkansas Historical Association has said will revolutionize the teaching of Arkansas History.  It was intended to do so.
