ALL AROUND ARKANSAS invites pre- and very early literate students to join Big Bear and the Critter Crew on a tour along a delightfully illustrated yellow brick road to the major geographic regions of Arkansas.  Beginning at Big Bear’s summer home in the Arkansas River Valley, Big Bear and the Crew travel up to the top of Mount Magazine, down to Hot Springs, and into southern Arkansas where the Big Pines grow.  From there they visit the Arkansas Delta, spend time exploring Crowley’s Ridge, and wind-up at Big Bear’s cozy winter cave in the Ozarks.  Their journey’s way is charted along a yellow brick road across Arkansas’s exciting landscape.  Thirty two pages in length ALL AROUND ARKANSAS is illustrated with original and colorful two page layouts depicting each of their stops.
